Man oh man was that a powerful book! I have always found the concept of polygamy so unbelievably fascinating and to see it in the YA section from the point of view of a young girl thrilled me to no end. Williams created a strong, heartbreaking story about making a stand against what you have been taught your whole life. I cried, I was sickened, I was in awe, and I was disturbed reading everything that 13 year old Kyra had to go through. She was put through the ringer all because she wanted to live life on her own terms and questioned why The Chosen Ones lived the way they did. Williams takes you on an emotional journey that will stay with you for a long long time to come. Simply amazing.
