Andi's ABCs

I'm a shopping fanatic. On any given day you will hear about me buying clothes or bags or shoes or books.
A Match Made in High School - Kristin Walker A Match Made in High School was one of the funniest, down to earth books I have read in a while. I mean laugh out loud, look like a crazy person in public, funny. Fiona's voice was so sarcastic and flip but at the same time she was real and straight to the point. I loved her "marital" relationship with Todd and how they both seemed to feed off each other in a way that only a true friend can do, even if you never in a million years thought you would be their friend. And Fee's family? OMG they were hysterical. They said things that my family would say so I felt a kinship to them. And Sam. Adorable 11 year old, snarky Sam. Her presence alone made me just smile. She was at times more grown-up then the grown-ups, but just enough a kid. She had a way about her that brought out the best in Fiona and Todd. They both showed their hearts when around Sam. I honestly wish there was more of her in this book. And then there was Johnny. How I loved quirky Johnny and his awkwardness. He and Fiona were two peas in a pod without even trying to be which made me swoon.

What I could have done without was the whole Marcie and Gabe thing. Saw that coming a mile away. And the fight that Marcie picked with Fiona really got on my nerves. She knew that Fee liked Gabe and had for years, yet she managed to turn the fight into it being Fiona's fault. That highly annoyed me.

But that aside, truly a very very enjoyable quick read. Can't wait for more from Ms. Walker.
