Simply put I was not a fan of this Sparks' book. Normally I eat his stuff right up, but Safe Haven just didn't do it for me in the last 200 pages. It was way too cliche and Kevin was such a bad 'villian' that was completely manufactured for the reader to loathe him. I just found the whole story to be contrived and blah and I didn't enjoy the way it was written at all. It just didn't feel like Sparks wrote this one and it bothered me. I just hope Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough can put some life into the movie version of this.
